My grandad you were the most amazing man ever !! You worked so hard providing for your family and looking after your wife our nana Rita, You became ill so soon after i gave birth to my twins on the day after your birthday i couldnt quite make your birthday pops sorry :( but i named my only son after you.. Bobby and he is a proper lad but i think you would've been happy for him to have your name. You lost your daughter in May 1996 our precious Auntie Ann and i think it was just too much for you to bare and i think you gave up a little as you believed it should be the parents to go first not the children and 22 weeks later you went to be with her again, i believe you knew we were all here to look after nan but no-one was up there to look after our Auntie Ann so you made your choice even though we all miss you both so much and lots of things wouldve been totally different if you were here, You are missed so dearly i just wished that you were here to see all of your great-grandchildren in life but i also believe you already have made yourself known to them all in your own way :) i know you would be so proud of them all :)... Love and miss u forever pops xxxxx Anyone who visits if you would like to add anything about our grandad please feel free xxxx
Waiting at the Door
I can’t explain so deep inside
The very fabric of my soul
Only a heart that grieves such loss
Can ever truly understand
It’s like you’re waiting at the door
Until a loved one comes back home
You feel a longing in your heart
When they appear the longing stops
But in a loss that never ends
You’re always standing at that door
You feel the longing in the breeze
So incomplete and never filled
I cannot find the words to say
Just what it’s like to want forever
Never seeing them again
Just always waiting at the door
